Non-toxic and biocompatible materials
We only use safe products and materials that do not present allergies, sensitivities, and systemic problems. For instance, we only place fillings and other restorations (such as crowns) made from ceramic materials. You will not find silver-colored fillings made from metals here. Likewise, we only place implants made from zirconium as an alternative to the titanium that most dentists continue to remember. These materials also support sustained health; metal-free restorations are generally “kind” to surrounding natural tissues. So, they are compatible with your gums and surrounding structures.
Safe techniques
It is not sufficient for a practice that markets itself as “natural,” “biological,” or “holistic” to remove metal fillings like they would remove or work with non-metal fillings. We are an authentically natural, biological, and holistic practice. Since metal fillings contain a known toxin, mercury, there are unique protocols that must be taken to ensure the material is removed safely. We use specialized techniques and equipment to minimize mercury exposure during this process. So, we can proudly say that we are both “mercury-free” and “mercury-safe.” Not every “natural” practice can say the same.
Gentle technologies
We use many tools and substances to support the most non-invasive, painless, and comfortable procedures possible. For instance, ozone is an excellent complement to many dental treatments. It offers “light-touch” sterilization and encourages healthy, speedy, and natural healing. Additionally, we use Platelet Rich Fibrin made from your body’s blood to support restorative healing and tissue regeneration following treatments such as extractions. The use of lasers also presents a gentle alternative to invasive, traditional cutting techniques. This approach removes and reshapes tissues to encourage healthy attachments between the gums and teeth among patients with active periodontal disease.
